Jackson is the son of a family in our church that is serving in Romania on military duty. Mom, Tracie, is also nurturing seeds previously planted when she served the area as a missionary. Jackson began having pains & "depression" several weeks back but everyone believed it was just emotional reaction to being back in Romania after being back home to have a new baby brother. Baby Tanner is only a few months old. Anyway, the pain & swelling increased to a point of serious concern. They are now in Austria with pediatric specialists and are very concerned because of astronomically high liver counts from his deteriorating muscles. Could be auto-immune, could be viral. They don't know. They just want him well enough to come home for treatment. Plus, Tracie is breastfeeding their baby even though baby isn't allowed in hospital. Her mother is now there to help but it's extremely difficult.

Thanks for asking and praying!

Prayers are working! Email update from Jackson's Mom:

Jackson is doing great considering where we were a few days ago. He is able to walk a short distance between us, though still pretty akward on his feet. He still has leg pain if he walks fast or long and cannot squat, but we are so thankful just to see him walk at all! He is his talkative self, and he says that he can't wait to return to Alabama. He is ready to be out of the hospital. Anytime a doctor or nurse asks him how he feels he says, "Much, much better," because he is just so anxious to leave and doesn't want anymore tests.
