I Know It's Past My Bedtime But...

(it's difficult to follow my own self-imposed schedule EVERY night)

I just wanted to throw out this request real quick before I hit the sack.

If any of you locals (or even far-offs who trust me enough to do the shipping thing) have some Boxed Sets of series that you'd let us borrow this summer, we'd be ever so grateful. We're hoping to catch up on some series that we've only recently decided to jump into. We know there are also other series out there we might be interested in checking out.

We're truly open to all options (and would be thankful for any awesome motion pictures that you highly recommend) but these are some we are REALLY wanting to see:
24 Season 3
Little House On The Prairie Season 1
Arrested Development Season 2

Any other suggestions are 100% welcome. We're just as thankful as we can be to anyone who might be able to help us save money & effort (video stores) this summer.

If you get season three of 24 we'd like to see it after you're done with it, if that's ok. Thanks

Hey Donna, maybe we should go in on purchasing it together off ebay or something?? Then we could re-sell it. I will definitely let you know if we find it anywhere.

Karen, that's exactly what we've been trying to do. In fact, that's how we watched our first season of LOST. We might not have tried it otherwise. They just got Season 1 of 24 so they might eventually end up with other ones we'd like. I'm calling them Monday (if they are open - not sure if they are since it's a state/federal holiday) to reserve Madagascar & Yours, Mine, Ours.

Thanks for the suggestion, Karen :) We definitely are on the same wavelength!

Hey Stacy,
Sorry I missed you at the game Saturday, but I'm glad you got to talk to Kathy. I hoped it helped with your cause.

Stacy, we would definately be interested in doing that. We're in no hurry to watch it though, it will probably be September before we watch tv together again (how sad is that?!!)

Have you ever thought about joining NetFlix?

I was going to suggest the library too...That's where we normally get our movies. Well, that is until we got Netflix. Which is AMAZING! I don't know how we lived without it. They have all kinds of levels. We get the 3 movies unlimited. I think you should look into it. They also have educational DVD'S which would be great to use while homeschooling.

Stacy, do you care how legal the copies are? I have access to seasons 3 through 5 of 24, but they're not technically store-bought.

We do NetFlix too and its great. You can actually reserve movies way before they're out on DVD and they just show up when they're released.

The only box set we have is Season 1 of 24 and I'd be happy to send it out to you if you haven't seen it yet.

JD - what do you mean by 'how legal'?? How ILLEGAL are your copies??? :)

We've done Netflix & Blockbuster and have been very pleased with them. However, we're not budgeting for that right now and are only pursuing FREE.

You'd be right in calling us a lot of things but ultra-cheap might be one of the closest descriptions these days! (dang Dave Ramsey for making us this way! If only we didn't have to spend cash for some upcoming big expenses...sigh)
