______ For President!

I'm narrowing down my vote-getter. Since I'm not really political and don't have the brains to debate issues correctly here, I won't yet reveal my leanings. But if any of you would like to use my comments section to voice your opinions, I'd love to hear them.

Honestly, I'd like to hear some of your thoughts because I'm curious if any of you are leaning in the same direction I am! Anyone like to take a guess on which campaign is getting my most research time (and an actual consideration of financial support!? GASP!)

I have no idea who will get my vote in 2008. Right now I'm not overwhelmingly enchanted with anyone, in either party.

If I had to guess for you - I'd say... Huckabee?

I'm actually getting excited to finally be finding someone... and it isn't Huckabee, but that was a very fair guess...

I'm leaning towards Huckabee but my guess for you is Ron Paul. I like some of his views but I believe we can't run from the war or they will be chasing us here. I also did not think that he seemed steady and intelligent when he was speaking on the Republican debate. I watched part of it a while back. I wish Alan Keyes would get more recognition. That is a very wise man. His views are great. Tell us who you are leaning towards......

If it's not Huckabee then I have no CLUE who it could be... do tell!

OK, OK...Amy's right about Ron Paul :) But as much as I like a good argument, I'm just not ready to ARGUE for him, yet. I AM liking him, though!

Y'all know I'll fight for my beliefs about a lot of stuff but don't make me be political! I'm not ready to present my case...but there's a definite leaning!

So...is Ron Paul getting a lot of backing in your area? I just ask, because I really haven't heard much of anything about him AT ALL, but when I was in your area a few weeks ago there were signs on lightposts everywhere for him. ?? Every time I hear his name, the first thing that pops into my mind is RuPaul!! Remember RuPaul from the 80s!?!?!? hahahaha

I'll take up the political banner in this blog circle later on... once I'm finally finished with football! You know, gotta post something post-Iron Bowl... UGH. :) I DID want to mention that Ron Paul had supporters passing out info at the stadium last night. Anyway, I believe in supporting candidates with your vote and possibly your help campaigning but I don't/won't give them money. But I won't say never either...

Part of me really wants to openly discuss my thoughts about all of this on the blog so that I can get my friends' views and thoughts on everything but I just don't know if I have the time or energy right now. On the other hand, I don't want anyone telling me I'm stupid about my political thoughts because I already know that I am! :)

Lisa, I really didn't know RP was getting any support here in the area until I started learning about him online. Then I started noticing a bumper sticker here and there. I haven't seen these signs you've mentioned but my Mom has and told me about them so obviously, they are there. You can also see where Steph said people were handing out material at the Iron Bowl. It's all very interesting to me...

By the way :) I had never put RP's name together with RUpaul but I will now! I actually think of my Granddaddy who is John Paul.

Interesting morself for y'all to know about me... In 91 (or 2?) I went to a Whitney Houston concert in Birmingham and had 3rd row tickets smack dab in the middle of the stage! AWESOME seats! During the break between opening acts and Whitney, there was a crowd of gay men who kept speaking to this beautiful black lady in the front row just a few feet from us. Me and my friend had to ask the gay couple sitting in front of us, "Just who the heck IS that lady?" They giggled and said, "That's RuPaul! A famous drag queen!"

I had never heard of him/her at the time but the first time I heard/saw of him/her later I couldn't believe it! I wish I would have known because I totally would have asked for an autograph!

One more post script...

If y'all knew my PaPaul, you would find it humorous that I wrote about him and RuPaul in the same entry!

I agree about PaPaul! HA!
