My Calendar

I wish you could see my calendar.  I don't know why it gets so terribly ragged by the end of the month.

My girls had these neat little crayons for school last year called "Twisters" and those have been my color-coding tools and doodlers lately.  My large desk-pad calendar is multi-colored and exciting.  I have a large, "Rose-Art" purple "X" crossing out each date as it passes.  Makes me feel accomplished to see the days I have gotten through.  The bottom of the page is curling up and ripped where He-Man has sat in my lap while I work at the computer.  The big kids see all my doodling and like to add their s to mine.  I have a few codes on here as well - green boxes around the dates Henry gets paid and I get my Mannatech check.  Green highlighting on any big bills or payments we need to budget for (tuition for both girls next week!)  I have blue notes for  things that I really need TO DO and red boxes drawn around events that I definitely don't need to forget!  There is a mark indicating that tomorrow, He-Man will be 16 months!  Sigh.  There are mathematical computations and phone numbers bordering the days.  There are people's names and notes scrambled together that don't make any sense to me now.  I'm sure I knew what they meant when I wrote them originally.

This time next week,  there will be a new page.  It's not clean, though.  It's already got several (read LOTS OF) pages marked with big events.  The bottom is already beginning to look a little ratty because it's exposed since July's page is curled up.  But there are no "X"s yet.  There are lots of things to look forward to.  I can't believe it will be August soon.

But enough looking ahead...today is a day that needs attention.  We've got a big meeting tonight and I've got some last minute things to do for that (make copies for next week's meeting, make up some sign-in sheets, stuff like that.)  I'm going out of town for another meeting tomorrow so I also need to get a babysitter for the afternoon.  I hate asking for babysitters.

I need to get a few baby shower gifts for upcoming parties and might as well do that today, too since I've got a coupon for Parisian and since I need to get one of the gifts to a friend to take to a shower I will miss tomorrow night.  I need to make a phone call to the church about the girls' baptisms Sunday.  Maybe I can straighten up the house a little bit, too (LOL!!!!!!!!!  I make myself laugh!!!!!!!)

TTFN :)
